Takeoff goes wrong when the quantities and the elements live in different tools. You measure in one place, report in another, and reconciling the two is the job.
How it’s made
There is no takeoff template to download. This report was built the same way 4D and 5D were — out of the Starter template. Filter to the elements being measured, pivot the properties worth totalling into columns, and the takeoff is an ordinary Power BI report.
How Frame builds it
This one started as the Starter template
We built this one by exporting the asset query and having an AI assistant do the reshaping, with one instruction that matters: keep the external ID. That is what holds a total to its elements — click the number and see what it is made of, colour-coded in the model. Change the filter and the takeoff follows.
