What file formats does Frame support?
Frame supports Autodesk Revit (.rvt, .rfa), Navisworks (.nwd/.nwc), and IFC files.
How does the Frame agent work with BIM models?
The Frame agent is a terminal panel docked next to the 3D viewer on paid plans. You type a request in plain language, such as "isolate the walls on level 2 and colour them by fire rating" or "count doors per type", and the agent runs the viewer commands for you and shows each one. It works on your current selection and, in this first release, on single Autodesk-processed models in desktop Chrome, Edge and Safari. On every plan, including Free, you can also connect Claude, ChatGPT or another MCP client to your model datasets.
Can Frame integrate with Power BI?
Yes! Frame generates Power BI templates (.pbit) with embedded 3D models, pre-built analytics, and interactive dashboards. You can create executive reports, cost tracking, and progress monitoring dashboards directly from your BIM data.
What support options do you offer?
We offer email and live chat support. Our technical team is available Monday through Friday, 9am-6pm. Premium support plans include 4-hour response times and dedicated Slack channels.
How do I set up Autodesk integration?
Create an Autodesk Developer account, generate API credentials (Client ID and Secret), then enter them in your Frame dashboard.
What if my models fail to import?
Ensure your file format is supported, check file size limits (under 250MB for optimal performance).
Does Frame work with Excel?
Yes! Frame's Excel integration lets you work with BIM data directly in Excel. You can view and filter 3D geometry alongside your data, sync with Power BI, and use familiar Excel functions with model context.
