Frame supports IFC, RVT, NWD, and ZIP packages that contain supported models. We can also connect to Autodesk Construction Cloud for the same supported model workflows. DWG is not supported today.

An individual model uses one slot. On Professional and above, an ACC federated model set added through a Model Coordination view also uses just one slot, even when it contains multiple models. Models added separately each use one slot. Professional and above include version switching and two-version comparisons. Business and Enterprise also include ACC multi-version history reports. Versions within a slot do not consume additional slots.

Every paid plan includes a monthly allowance of AI credits: 700 on Starter, 1,500 on Professional, 3,000 on Business, and a custom amount on Enterprise. Credits pay for the Frame agent, the terminal panel next to the 3D viewer that turns plain-language requests into viewer commands, and for AI markup descriptions. Most requests use 1 to 5 credits. The Free plan has no agent but includes 20 credits a month for AI markup descriptions. Credits reset each billing period and do not roll over.

The agent pauses until your credits reset at the start of the next billing period. Everything else in Frame keeps working: the viewer, markups, reports, the Excel add-in and Power BI templates. If you regularly run out, moving up a plan raises the monthly allowance, and Enterprise plans can be sized to your usage.

Yes, on every plan including Free, and it does not use credits. Connect Claude, ChatGPT or any other MCP client to Frame's remote MCP server at https://www.bimframe.co/mcp, sign in with your Frame account, and the client can list your models, read dataset scopes and download the Parquet datasets (assets, properties and views) with column guides. Browser agents such as Chrome's or the ChatGPT app's browser can also use Frame's WebMCP site tools in the dashboard once you turn on AI clients in your profile. Access is read-only: connected clients cannot upload, change or delete anything.

Agent and AI markup requests go through Vercel AI Gateway to OpenAI (including Azure OpenAI) and Anthropic (including AWS Bedrock and Google Vertex AI) with zero data retention at the providers and no training on your prompts or model data. The AI only sees what you send: model metadata, element properties and sheet text for the open model, and the screenshot attached to a markup. Frame keeps a usage log (user, model, token counts, cost and time) for billing for 13 months and does not store the content of your requests. With bring-your-own-AI, your client retrieves datasets directly and processes them under its own provider's terms.
