Autodesk Construction Cloud

Connect Frame with Autodesk Construction Cloud to sync models, issues, and reporting workflows.

BIM Platforms Updated Sep 14, 2025

Introduction

This guide helps Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) administrators connect their projects to Frame. Once installed, Frame continuously receives models, issues, and reporting data from ACC so project teams can work from a single, current source of truth.

How Frame works with ACC

Frame uses Autodesk APIs to mirror the ACC project structure, placing synced models, issues, and analytics side by side. Existing ACC permissions stay in place, so collaborators only see the projects and models they already have access to.

Install Frame from the ACC App Portal

Frame is available as a published listing inside the Autodesk Construction Cloud App Portal—no manual Client ID or OAuth configuration required.

  1. In the Frame dashboard, click Add model.
  2. Select Add from ACC. Autodesk prompts you to sign in if you are not already authenticated.
  3. After sign-in, the ACC App Portal opens to the Frame listing. Click Install and choose the account that should have access.
  4. Review and approve the requested scopes. Autodesk completes the installation and returns you to Frame once the app is active.
  5. The next time you click Add from ACC, the connection is already authorized and ready to sync.

Select models to sync

  1. From the Frame dashboard, click the model you want to manage.
  2. In the drawer that opens, use the toggles to enable model syncing or ACC issue webhooks.
  3. Close the drawer to apply your changes. Frame queues the initial import and keeps versions aligned with ACC updates.

Create Frame reports

  1. In Frame, open the project and navigate to Reports.
  2. Choose a template or build a custom view that blends synced ACC models, issues, and Frame analytics.
  3. Schedule automatic deliveries to stakeholders or export on demand.

Generate ACC issue reports

The Frame integration currently supports ACC issue reports.

  1. Go to Reports inside your ACC project.
  2. Create a new Issue report and set filters that match your Frame workflows (for example status, assignees, or root cause).
  3. Share the report with the Frame integration email, or download it and upload to Frame for cross-project analysis.
  4. Autodesk is expanding reporting APIs; additional report types will appear in Frame as they become available.
